Primary PE & Sports Grant

 

The government is providing additional funding of £150 million per annum for academic years 2013- 2014, 2014- 2015, 2015- 2016 & 2016-2017 to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.

 

This funding - provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport - will be allocated to primary school headteachers.

 

Brentside Primary Academies share of funding provided is £9580 for 2015-16.

 

The academy has used the funding to bring in a specialist Dance teacher that started in March 2015. In addition to this, several of our teachers have specialist PE training in the teaching of PE in primary schools.

2016-17 Planned Use of Sport Grant

 

BPA are working with On the Ball Sport Coaching to provide after school multisports clubs for KS2 children. The clubs will run during the Summer Term.
