Over the last academic year, we worked hard to achieve the following school awards:
Here at Brentside Primary, academic achievement is only part of our vision for the school. We provide many opportunities for pupils to master and practice in the performing and visual arts and to develop their speaking and listening skills through whole school events.
A central aim of BPA is to provide a rich and supportive child-centred learning environment, which is age appropriate for the needs of all pupils. We recognise that some pupils experience very heavy burden and are particularly vulnerable. We are aim to support these pupils by providing them with much needed emotional support they deserve. As well as ensuring the curriculum is based on consistent, child centred quality teaching and learning throughout the school.

Wellbeing Award for Schools – the main aim of this award is “to promote emotional wellbeing and positive mental health across the whole school community”.

Excellence in Pupil Development award – the main aim of this award is “to promote positive behaviour and attitudes”.
BPA are a member of NACE which is the National Association for Able Children in Education. This demonstrates our consistent commitment to developing high quality provision for more able learners and challenge for all.

What does it mean to be a Rights Respecting School?
Rights Respecting Schools is an award by the charity UNICEF. The award is for schools that are working towards children’s rights becoming an embedded part of their school ethos. It teaches children about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and enables them to be Rights Respecting Global Citizens and advocates for fairness and social justice in our local community, our country and across the globe. This encompasses our British Values and Prevent.
Communication Team and Anti-Bullying Ambassadors
The Communication Team and Ant-Bullying Ambassadors meet monthly to discuss topics of interest amongst the pupils and staff. They are working alongside Mrs Sobti to ensure that our children have a voice in decisions made in school.
