Ofsted Inspection 2012

Ofsted visited Brentside Primary on the 13th - 14th June 2012 to inspect the school.

In 2006, Brentside was judged by Ofsted as an Outstanding school and to the delight of all the staff the school was informed that it had been awarded the grade of Outstanding for the June 2012 inspection as well.

Brentside achieved Level 1 in each of the areas judged by Ofsted, which is an amazing achievement by everyone connected to the school.

Brentside would like to thank all the parents and children that completed questionnaires or were asked questions by the Ofsted Inspectors. A number of quotes from parents and children were used in the official report from Ofsted.

The criteria for achieving an Outstanding rating has changed and become more difficult since the introduction of the new Ofsted criteria in January 2012. The table below shows the reduction in numbers of schools achieving Outstanding.
