Active Travel - TFL Stars
Healthier Travel Choices
At Brentside, we are working hard alongside the borough travel team to promote healthier travel choices. Most of our pupils live within 1km of the school and therefore, we encourage all families to walk, scoot or cycle to school.
We worked hard in 2022 to gain our Bronze accreditation with TFL through activities such as the Big Walk and Wheel, Scooter decorating competitions and workshops about the environment and pollution.
In 2023 we acheived our Silver accreditation from TFL with the succesfull launch of School Street, walk to school week, bikeability training for year 6, balance bike training for staff in EYFS, consultations with residents, scootfit, air pollution workshops and a new group of JTAs.
