Here at Brentside Primary, academic achievement is only part of our vision for the school. We provide many opportunities for pupils to master and practice in the performing and visual arts and to develop their speaking and listening skills through whole school events.
A central aim of BPA is to provide a rich and supportive child-centred learning environment, which is age appropriate for the needs of all pupils. We recognise that some pupils experience very heavy burden and are particularly vulnerable. We are aim to support these pupils by providing them with much needed emotional support they deserve. As well as ensuring the curriculum is based on consistent, child centred quality teaching and learning throughout the school.
With this in mind, we are currently working towards earning recognition through various School awards.
Wellbeing Award for Schools – the main aim of this award is “to promote emotional wellbeing and positive mental health across the whole school community”.
Excellence in Pupil Development award – the main aim of this award is “to promote positive behaviour and attitudes”.
Golds Artsmark award - the main aim of this award is to highlight the belief that every young person has the opportunity to be creative and to participate in extraordinary arts and culture.
The School Games Mark award - the main aim of this award is to reward the school for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
