Putting Children First

Anti-Bullying

In November 2022 Brentside Primary hosted training for Anti-Bullying Ambassadors by the Diana Award.  Pupils from years 3 to 6 were trained to support each other.  They are trained and motivated to resolve minor disputes.  Children often feel more willing to open-up to their peers about the issues they’re facing.

Don't be a bully, be a buddy!

Who are we?

We are the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors! We are around the school to help anyone with any friendship problems, if children want help or advice, if they feel like they are being bullied or if they think they have seen bullying in school.

Our Aims

Our aim is to stop and prevent bullying in our school and make it a kind, safe place where everyone likes to be and feels comfortable and safe to be themselves.

What is bullying?

Bullying is repetitive, negative behaviour.

It is when someone says or does something intentionally (on purpose), hurtful and they keep doing it, over a period of time, even when you tell them to stop or show them you are upset.

At Brentside Primary Academy we say:

When someone says or does something unintentionally hurtful, and they do it once, that’s not nice.

When someone says or does something hurtful intentionally, and they do it oncethat’s mean.

When someone says or does something hurtful intentionally, and they keep doing itthat is bullying.
